First, take a breath.
There is nothing you have to do in this moment that can't wait a little while. It's okay to sit. It's okay to cry. It's okay to do nothing at all for a bit. Call someone who loves you if you can. When you're ready, we're here.
Immediate care, in the first few hours
If you'd like to do something small and tender to care for your pet before you've decided on next steps, here's what tends to help.
- Wrap your pet in a favorite towel or blanket.
- Move your pet, if you can, to a cool, quiet area of your home — a garage, basement, or tile floor is fine. Please do not place your pet in a freezer.
- There is no urgency. Take the time you need to say goodbye.
- Contact us when you're ready, and we'll walk you through the next steps.
What we can help with
For pets who have already passed — at home, at an emergency vet, or at another clinic — we offer pickup and cremation services. That includes private cremation with ashes returned to you, communal cremation, urn selection, paw print and hair vial keepsakes, and access to a 24/7 pet grief support hotline.

Common questions
How soon should I call?
As soon as you're able. There's no strict window — we handle each situation individually. Your only job right now is to take care of yourself and your family.
Will the cremation be private or communal?
Your choice. Both options are available. Private cremation means your pet is cremated alone and their ashes are returned to you. Communal cremation means they're cremated alongside other pets, with no individual return of ashes.
How long until I receive my pet's cremains?
Typically within 1–2 weeks. We'll keep you informed throughout, so you never have to wonder where things stand.
Can you help if my pet passed at an ER vet or another clinic?
Yes. We can coordinate pickup from most local facilities. Just give us a call and let us know where your pet is.
Do you offer grief support?
Every one of our packages includes access to a 24/7 pet loss grief support hotline. We'll share the details when you reach out.
Do you travel for pickups?
We do — and for pickup, we can often travel beyond our standard radius. Please contact us with your location and we'll work it out.
